I am enjoying this book! The fact that your daily devotional covers your Body, Soul, and Spirit is truly a blessing. I believe we as Christian women tend to focus on one of the 3 and not all three at the same time. I found the Lord speaking to me through these devotionals and feel so empowered after reading and encouraged you to take the time to begin reading and see how the lord works in your life. My favorite reading from Week 1 is "Discovering Your Why. Knowing your "Why" will help to keep you focused and not want to give up when times do get tough. I took a screenshot of the prayer listed for our "spirit" for this topic so I can read it everyday. Loving the new topics every and I am excited to see what's next!
As I was reding last week's sections. The part that struck me is the section dealing with loving yourself. It's sad to say, but, for a long time my self worth was depended upon how others saw me. So I did all the things that were expected of me. I tried to fit in every group I was part of. I made all the "right" comments during conversations. However, I wasn't really happy. People saw me as this strong, no nonsense type of person, but in reality I am a weak and scared little girl. So when as I was reading this section it brought back those memories of that time. I had to learn, quite painfully, to except who I am now. I had to learn to love me, with or without other people's approval. I had to learn the only approval I really needed was God's
